This past Thanksgiving, I visited four awesome Sandals resorts.
Over the next few weeks, I will post about each of them. Which one fits your personality the best?
Let me know if you want to talk about your next vacation! I’m at allison@pvactravel.com
First up! Sandals Grande Riviera in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
The downside to this resort is that it is approx 90 minutes from the airport. And yes, that can be a long ride! (Book through me, and it’s a FREE ride)
The plus side to this resort is not only are the waters beautiful, but you’re near TONS of locations with some great excursions. Canopy rides, zip lines, 4×4 through the rainforest…
You also get to choose at this resort what side you want to book on. The mountain side or the beach side. There is a shuttle on-site, so you can travel back and forth to experience both great sides of the property.
The lobby on the mountain side of the resort was warm and inviting.
There are about 26 different room category options. You can be on the beach side in a luxury, concierge, or butler room, you can be on the mountain side with a luxury, concierge, or butler room, you can have a one bedroom suite, you can have a private pool… the possibilities are practically endless!

The view from our room (not too shabby!)
Enjoy authentic jerk pork or jerk chicken on the beach – practically anytime of day!
Take a Catamaran Cruise or other unforgettable excursion
On the beach side, you can grab a chair, or hit the docks. There is a bar (and restaurant) on the dock for you to take in the gorgeous ocean.

Red Snapper is popular in Jamaica, and where else can you get fresh, award-winning seafood like this?
Dining outside in the evening.
Recognize the view from earlier?
Live music outside, while you chat with your significant other, new friends, or just sit and relax.
Stay tuned! Next Wednesday, 12/26/12, we’ll post about Sandals Royal Plantation!
